Nice Guys’ Book Club– yet again

December 28, 2010

In lieu of your regular weekly podcast, here’s someone else’s show I was on. If you haven’t already listened to the Nice Guys Book Club, be sure to check out their latest ep (135), and the one they post next week (136). I’ll be in both– once very drunk, and once very hungover.

Podcast 071, with Kevin Buckalew

December 20, 2010

First-time guest Kevin Buckalew talks to me about “Bandwagon Movies.” Not sure what those are? Neither was I, but I think I figured it out. We also talk about our guilty pleasures (the film kind).

Anyone hearing the weird echo in this recording? Hopefully not.  I think Logan may have fixed the problem, but not sure…

Podcast 070, with Logan Moy

Back again at Carolla One Studios, this time with Film Vault producer, Logan Moy. We take an early look at some Oscar hopefuls, even though we haven’t seen 3/4 of the movies being considered.

There Will Be Spoilers, Episode 070

Notes:

Thanks to both Logan and Katie for helping to set up all the audio stuff. And thanks to everyone else at ACE for letting me record in the studio– though I’m pretty sure most people didn’t realize we were recording anyway.

Also, am I crazy or is there a weird echo in these eps now?? Any Garage Band experts out there?? Would appreciate some feedback if ya know how to fix that…

Podcast 069, with Matt Schulman

December 6, 2010

Episode 69! Woooooooooo! Things get way too fucking sexy as Matt Schulman and I discuss the hottest sex scenes from movies no one would ever consider sexy.

There Will Be Spoilers, Episode 069

Notes:

As is quite obvious from the opening lines, technically I recorded this episode prior to the last one. What can I say? Matt came over to podcast and I was in the mood to 69– wait, uhh, no, that’s not… no.

Also, fun fact: part way through this episode, Matt says a movie quote, “I never take it off.” This is going to take way too long to explain, but back in high school, Jeff Newman (former guest and mutual friend) quizzed me on this exact movie quote, and then refused to tell me the correct answer. Somewhere along the way I totally forgot about the exchange, but technically by saying what movie it was from, Matt helped solve a riddle that’s plagued me for literally a decade.
